Philippians 3: 12-14, Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect, but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus
Press in, press forward, press on, that is the attitude that we must adopt. Walking out our lives in a manner that pleases God requires us to press towards the mark of the high calling. It requires us to forget those things, which are behind us, much in the same manner God has forgiven us for the sin we have committed.
Pressing in to God in good times makes living in the dreadful times so much easier. Pressing in to God requires reading more of His word, asking Him to reveal more of it and then meditating in the revelation. Pressing in to God means that there are quite times with just Him, no interruptions. These things help ensure that the relationship is built on a sure foundation. Pressing forward to God is the walking away from all those things that seek to bind us, and keep us from reaching our full potential in God. Pressing on in God is making the choice that in good times and in bad, we refuse to get stuck in the muck and mire of this life, but we will move ahead with God as our guide.
Meditation: List some ways that you can press in to God, then start doing them.~ Let your light shine!
